Hello and welcome! I wanted to post just A little intro blog post. I want this blog to be somewhere fun to rest, somewhere to find some fun and inspiration and I can’t wait to be inspired by YOU!
So here goes, a little about me:
My name is Cyndi and I am 30 years old. Oh man that is strange to say. I turned 30 this year and it still has not fully set in that I am in my thirties. Anyway! I am currently based in Kissimmee and have been here for a little over 10 years. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach VA, which could be considered part of “the south” buuuut my entire family is from Connecticut! So while growing up in the south I was very connected to my northern roots and culture. My family is Italian and Polish and I don’t know if you know this about Italians, but if any part of you is Italian, you are 100% Italian. I grew up going to Connecticut every year and going to New York City at least once a year. I know what good bagels taste like and I know that good pizza is in the cheese!
Side note, if you are looking for the best pizza you’ll ever eat in your life, go check out Modern Apizza in New Haven Connecticut. I have eaten a lot of good pizza in my lifetime but nothing comes even remotely close to how just unbelievably delicious Modern is!
Alright! So! Back to me! What brings me to Florida, you ask? Well, a little place you might have heard of and probably have already guessed, DISNEY WORLD!
*FUN FACT!* The very first time I visited Disney World I was 18 years old!
My family did not have money when I was growing up so going to Disney world was always just a dream to me. Then when I turned 18 and had a job and savings I pitched the idea that we could split a trip 3 ways- me, my mom, and my gramma- and we could afford to go! They agreed and I started planning one of the best vacations of my life. While on that vacation we had a lovely conversation with a Photopass cast member about the Disney College Program. Fast forward to that fall, my mom begins her Disney College Program, and falls in love with this magical place. Then the following spring I began my journey on the Disney College Program!
10 years and so many incredible memories later, I am still photographing people in various places at the Magic Kingdom and sometimes I cannot believe that my life is a dream.
Through Disney I have found a home, I have found my best friends, I have found family, and I have found the love of my life! I’ve had countless adventures and misadventures. I’ve had high highs and low lows, but I would not give up any part of this life.
About 6 years ago my mom became a flight attendant with JetBlue and a new chapter of adventures began. With this new job came free flights for both of us! We have seen so much of the world that we would not have been able to without this great job opportunity. I have always LOVED to travel and once the ability to fly for free was put on the table I was gone! In the first year of these flight benefits I took an extra day off every single week and flew somewhere for 3 day weekends every single week. Most of my good friends have moved away from Florida, so I took those 3 day vacations to visit my friends and just hang out with them. Truly a dream come true. With the ability to travel whenever I choose, comes the knowledge for all things travel! Places to check out, what to pack, how to pack. I have so many travel tips and I'm looking forward to sharing them all with you!
I am a lady of many hobbies. So of course, over the quarantine in 2020 I began baking and decorating cookies! My first sale was Thanksgiving 2020 and I sold all of my cookies! Once I got started I never wanted to stop. I've made so many different cookies for so many people and I love it more with every finished product. I am a self taught decorator and that comes with a whole new level of satisfaction when I get things right. I decided to start up my own small business as a side hustle. Creating is an important aspect of my life and it is important for me to incorporate it into my life whenever possible. Cookies are a great escape from stress and when they're done- I hand them off to their new homes. That gives me a sense of accomplishment and helps melt stress away even more. So, if you ever want cookies- I'm your girl! Check out my cookie page from the home page of my site!
So, there's a bit about me. Thanks for reading and getting to know me a little better! I hope you enjoy my own little corner of the internet. I can't wait to dive in and start sharing all my tips and tricks and thoughts and feelings and I'd be honored if you wanted to keep up with me! Feel free to subscribe to my posts, to share them around, check out my cookies and all that jazz!
Stay sparkly my lovelies!
