Disney Cruise VS. Walt Disney World: Why a Disney Cruise Is The Better Option

If you've ever been on a Walt Disney World vacation then you know how much work goes into planning the perfect vacation. With this much planning comes a decent amount of stress plus hours and hours of preparation. Then, once you get to your vacation, you spend a lot of time making sure everything goes smoothly and stays on track. Have you ever found yourself wishing that it could be easier? This is why I LOVE Disney Cruises! Yes, it is pricey, but the relaxation and lack of stress in planning makes it absolutely worth it!

When planning a vacation to Walt Disney World you have so many details to think about. Park reservations, dining reservations, virtual queues, Genie plus, and I'm sure many more that I'm forgetting. Once you start your vacation you have a whole new set of things to worry about. Rope drop to park close, deciding which rides to ride and at what time so you don't spend all day in lines, mobile ordering your food, seeing parades and shows and making sure you get a good spot. There are so many details that go into making it a great vacation. Add to that, the heat and lack of sleep and you start to wonder if it really is a "vacation" at all! Don't get me wrong, Walt Disney World is a great vacation, but in my opinion Disney Cruises are so much better than putting yourself through all that stress.

When planning a Disney Cruise vacation you have to decide how long you'd like to go, which ship you want to enjoy, and which port works best for you. Once those decisions have been made, the rest is a breeze! No need to worry about dining reservations, because cruises have rotational dining. You will get to enjoy every sit down restaurant at least once on your sailing. There are two restaurants on each ship that require reservations, and while they are very nice restaurants, it's not necessary to get to eat there for your cruise to be successful. While on your cruise there is a helpful app called the Navigator that has all of the daily schedules ahead of time which makes planning each day so easy! There's no need to plan for lines, because there are little to no waits for anything. The best part of a cruise is that there is something for everyone and everyone is able to do what they want independently! So as the vacation planner, you can take a breath and allow everyone to do something different while you get to do what you want at the same time!

Something for everyone may be hard to believe when you hear the name "Disney" but let me assure you there truly is something for everyone. There are lounges, trivia, cooking classes and crafts. There are adult only pools, and spas, and lounging areas. Not to mention there's a spa and a gym as well as a spa! For the kids there are kids clubs for every age with different activities planned every day. There are family pools and movies that play on the big funnel vision screen. For the family to enjoy together there are broadway style shows, variety acts, movie theaters and character greetings. Truly there is something for everyone to enjoy on their own or together!

So, have I won you over yet? What's even better is that there is also the ability to visit multiple locations around the world that you may not have been able to visit on your own! There are Caribbean cruises with destinations like, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Disney's private island Castaway Cay (pronounced key.) There are also Alaskan cruises, Hawaiian cruises, Mediterranean cruises, and many variations of all of those options! Getting to visit these areas via cruise takes all the headache out of planning a trip to these destinations. All you have to do is see what you want to do when you get there! You can choose to book excursions that Disney plans for you which are an added cost. Or you can do your own research and plan your own excursions! Which may sound daunting but usually each port makes it so easy for tourists! Some quick googling should help you have an idea of what you want to do in each port of call. You can also choose to stay on the ship while it is in port and enjoy more of the cruise amenities!

If I haven't won you over by now, there's not much else I can say! I truly think Disney cruises are the way to go. Especially if you are trying to choose between a vacation to Walt Disney World and a Disney Cruise, the choice to me is crystal clear. I hope to see you on board soon!
